Collective Brands is restructuring in Europe. The American group has created the position of lifestyle director Europe for the brands Keds, Pro-Keds and Sperry Top-Sider. This role has been entrusted to Michael Schmitz. The 34 year-old manager has worked for the group for four years and was recently in charge of the German, Austrian, Swiss and Polish markets. Previously, he was brand manager for New Balance and PF Flyers.

Michael Schmitz will first oversee the activities of subsidiaries, namely those in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland and the Benelux countries. In countries where there are distributors, as in France via the Royer Group, he will become the main contact partner for the group.
