Kenzo and Blue Marine Foundation work together on a sweatshirt

Building on the success of their famous Tiger sweatshirt, Kenzo’s designers came up with the idea of turning it into a tool for charity. Following last year’s print apparel capsule collection "No Fish No nothing”, the house is now presenting the second chapter in its partnership with the NGO, which works to protect the world’s oceans, with a navy blue Tiger sweater.

Available online as well as in all Kenzo and Opening Ceremony stores worldwide, the sweater (which only comes in one size) sells at 195 euros (£155/$240).

"We were looking for a partnership with an NGO that has a vision and that passionately advocates for the harmonious coexistence of humans and the ocean,” explained the duo in February. “As we did some research, the Blue Marine Foundation struck a chord with me. We support their goal of creating reserves for sustainable fisheries and marine sanctuaries. We are very enthusiastic about the KENZO-BLUE partnership. We hope sincerely that it will increase awareness about the issue."

The NGO advocates in particular for the creation of a protected marine reserve around the South Sandwich Islands, as well as for the proper management of waters around South Georgia.
