Kit and Ace open pop-up shop in Japan

Canadian apparel company Kit and Ace has just opened up a pop-up shop in Tokyo’s Nakameguro district as part of its global expansion plans. The shop includes signature Kit and Ace signature design elements, including a neon sign over the cash register reading “time is precious,” and a square table for its weekly “supper club” similar to those held at other Kit and Ace stores.

The pop-up sells men’s and women’s apparel, including the brand-fave “technical cashmere” soft jersey shirts and dresses. Shirts start at about $82 and blanket shawls of the same fabric will start at $382.

The pop-up shop will be open through March 6, 2016. The company plans to open several more stores in Japan in 2016 as part of its global strategy to expand to over 30 stores by the end of 2015 in Japan, Melbourne, Sydney and London.

Kit and Ace is a Vancouver-based apparel company that was cofounded by Shannon and JJ Wilson, wife and son of Lululemon Athletica founder Chip Wilson. Known for its combination of comfort and luxury via technical innovation, the company has quickly grown in popularity since it was established in early 2014.
