L Brands same store sales fall 13% in February

L Brands, Inc. reported on Thursday a difficult month in February.
The company, which operates over 3,000 company-owned specialty stores, saw net sales fall by 10 percent to $765.5 million for the four-week period ended February 25, 2017. Meanwhile, comparable same store sales for the four weeks equally fell by 13 percent, as did February same store sales by 4.7 percent.
Victoria's Secret comparable same store sales decreased 16 percent.
The company says that its exit from the swim and apparel categories negatively impacted total company comparable sales by 6 percent points, as well as had a negative impact of 8 percentage points on Victoria's Secret comparable sales.
