L’Oréal USA has moved to its new Hudson Yards headquarters after nearly 60 years in Midtown Manhattan. The company moved its first employees to the 10 Hudson Yards building.
The new headquarters occupies 10 floors (floors 27 through 36) and spans 400,000-square-feet of the building’s 1.8 million square feet. Approximately 150 employees, including creative teams from the L’Oréal USA brand portfolio and The Body Shop, have relocated, and 1,300 L’Oréal USA employees will move to the new headquarters over the next few months.
The office space, which is custom designed by L’Oréal with global design firm Gensler, features floor-to-ceiling windows, an interactive virtual room for advanced retail planning, a technical salon and treatment room for product evaluation, a learning center for employee trainings, an employee café and a 4,000-square-foot terrace with indoor and outdoor seating.
L’Oréal is the second tenant to move into the 10 Hudson Yards building following Coach, which moved to the new building in May. Other tenants moving slated to move into the building include Sap, The Boston Consulting Group, VaynerMedia, Intersection and Sidewalk Labs.
Hudson Yards is the largest New York City development since Rockefeller Center. The site will be completed in 2024.
