Levi’s evolved the organization of its management team, putting in place global structures for product creation, merchandising and marketing. The Levi Strauss group’s signature brand created a new position and made the promotions under the leadership of James Curleigh, the brand’s president.

Jennifer Sey, currently vice president of e-commerce, who joined the company in 1999, will become global chief marketing officer. Grant Barth, now head of men’s merchandising, will take on the position of chief merchandising officer. He joined Levi’s recently from Nike, where he had spent 16 years. Jonathan Cheung, vice-president of merchandising for men’s tops, has been named head of design for the Levi’s brand. He joined the company in 2009 as lead designer for the Made&Crafted collection.

Finally, Levi’s created the position of chief product officer and recruited Karyn Hillman to fill the role. She will be responsible for developing innovative product assortments. She was most recently director of merchandising for Calvin Klein Jeans and Accessories. Prior to that, she occupied the position of vice president of merchandising at Gap.
