London considering introduction of the ‘London visa’ to attract new talent

Published

Boris Johnson, Mayor of London, has proposed the idea of a ‘London visa’ which would allow talented design and tech experts to find jobs in the British capital. Submitted to the Home Office, the plan aims to facilitate access to the country for those coming from outside of the European Union.

“It is a clear message to the elite of Silicon Valley or the fashionistas of Beijing that London is the place they should come to develop ideas, build new businesses and be part of an epicentre for global talent,” said the mayor to the Financial Times. Boris Johnson is known for his support of the London fashion scene, as pictured above in a photo taken at the last edition of London Collections: Men.
