The show will take place Sunday, May 14, 2017, with the city and specific location set to be announced closer to the date.

Louis Vuitton has a long history with Japan, opening its first store in Tokyo in 1978 and collaborating with many Japanese artists and designers including Takashi Murakami, Yayoi Kusama, and Rei Kawakubo.

Under Nicolas Ghesquière as artistic director of women's collections the house has previously staged its Cruise collections in Monaco, Palm Springs, and Rio de Janeiro.
