Canadian women's athletics brand, Lululemon is primed to open another retail location in New York City in the near future. The brand confirmed late last week that it has signed a lease for a store space in the NoHo neighborhood in Manhattan.
Chip Wilson founded the Vancouver-based brand in 1998, and he has led the company to over $1 billion in revenue. This year, Lululemon named Miguel Almeida the Executive Vice President, Digital, and it launched a limited-edition beer, Curiosity Beer, with Stanley Park Brewing for its annual SeaWheeze Half Marathon and Sunset Festival in Stanley Park.
Chip Wilson’s wife and former lead designer of Lululemon, Shannon Wilson, and their son, JJ Wilson, founded the technical luxury apparel company, Kit and Ace, which is often regarded as a competitor of Lululemon.
The Lululemon NoHo store will be the brand’s 11th retail location in New York City.
