The men’s market comes to a close and the women’s market kicks off with Magic in Las Vegas. The colossal fashion trade show will host a bevy of shows at Mandalay Bay from February 16 through 18 including Project and The Tents, The Collective, Pooltradeshow, FN Platform, WSA@Magic, CURVENV@Magic, Playground and Sourcing at Magic.
This season marks the second show in Vegas where ENKVegas will operate under its new name, Project Women’s, and Magic Men’s will operate as The Collective. Magic is introducing new programs this season including Conscious Collections at Project Women’s, The Designer Collective at Project, and Lingerie and Swim at CURVENV@Magic.
The Designer Collective highlights new to Project labels by showcasing the brands’ full collections of apparel and accessories. The participating brands this season are Ike Behar, Boston Traders, Southern Tide, Christopher Lena and Zanetti. While the Designer Collective puts the focus on menswear, Conscious Collections takes the attention away from fashion partly by focusing on brands that support education, job creation, health and nutrition, children, animals and social justice among others.
Lastly, Lingerie and Swim at CURVENV@Magic will be a dedicated section at Magic that will showcase swimwear and intimate apparel. The show explained the intention behind the new section, “As this Fall/Winter show is highly focused on Intimate Apparel due to the disconnect between the January Swim Market and cruise/summer orders being too late, the show organizers have decided to create a dedicated section within WWD MAGICs halls.” The section will be close to the C5 Hall where the August show takes place.
Other features returning this season include Oasis, Flex, and Accessories @ Project at the Project Women’s show that are curated sections for new brands, activewear and yoga brands, and accessory lifestyle brands, respectively.
Magic will be held from Tuesday, February 16 through Thursday, February 18.
