Mally Beauty to launch capsule collection with drag icon RuPaul

Mally Roncal’s color cosmetics brand Mally Beauty announced on Friday that it has signed an agreement with Emmy award-winning drag queen and TV host RuPaul for a capsule collection slated for launch at the beginning of next year.

Specific details are scarce for the moment but a release from Mally Beauty revealed that RuPaul would be working with makeup artist and brand founder Mally Roncal on the collection’s concept, formulation and marketing to produce a capsule of between ten and twelve products.
 
Commenting on the partnership in an official statement, Roncal stated, “Ru has always stayed true to who he is and unapologetically puts himself out there. He exemplifies self-acceptance and has inspired and taught millions of people to love themselves. This seamlessly blends with Mally Beauty’s mantra: What makes you different makes you beautiful! I feel blessed to have the honor of working with RuPaul and have him connected to my brand.”
 
“RuPaul is the ideal choice for this collaboration with Mally considering his values and personality,” said Mally Beauty President Brian Robinson. “His magnetic charisma and authenticity mirrors Mally’s and together they should prove to be unstoppable.”
 
RuPaul’s cult TV show RuPaul’s Drag Race is now into its tenth series, having shifted from Logo to VH1 in 2017, a channel where it has since gained record viewing figures. RuPaul won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program in 2016, and again in 2017 for his central role in the pop culture phenomenon.  
 
Mally Beauty was founded by Mally Roncal in 2005 and is currently available for purchase through Ulta Beauty and Kohl’s Department Stores, as well as on QVC and online.
 
The Mally Beauty x RuPaul capsule collection will launch in February 2019.
