Mango launches mobile payments system

Spanish fashion retailer Mango has launched a new mobile payment system to speed up in-store payments and allow customers to avoid checkout queues.

With the new system, employees can accept payments anywhere in the store via a mobile point of sale. The payment solution was successfully trialled at two megastores in Barcelona at the end of the year and the new system has now been rolled out in 13 further Mango stores in Spain.

A total of 35 stores are expected to offer the mobile payment system by the end of November this year, including stores in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Bilbao and San Sebastián.
