Direct-to-consumer footwear brand Margaux is departing from its traveling pop-up model and setting down roots with a first flagship boutique in NY.

Margaux's New York flagship

The brand made the announcement on Instagram, saying, “Introducing Margaux Bleecker. This crazy, beautiful journey has taken us to all corners of the country, and now we’re bringing Margaux home with a New York flagship of our very own.”

The store greets consumers with a blue and white pinstriped awning against a white facade. Inside, a rainbow of the brand’s signature ballet flats is merchandised on a neutral wood fixture. Candles and books serve as props that help bring Margaux’s classic brand story to life.

The flagship will allow customers to try on styles and fits in narrow, medium and wide. Once satisfied, customers can place an order from the store and have it shipped to their home for free.

One style, a navy satin version of the brand’s The Sandal, will be sold exclusively at the NY flagship. The store will also have fit experts who can take measurements for made-to-measure styles.

“The purpose of the store is to bring the product to life,” said co-founder Sarah Pierson in a statement, going on to describe visits to the location as a “Cinderella moment,” in reference to the fact that the store's objective is to help customers find their perfect fit.

Launched in 2015, Margaux has previously experimented with pop-ups in Nantucket, Palm Beach and San Francisco. While the Bleecker Street store is the first permanent location, the brand has also indicated that it is not giving up on its pop-up model, saying that it’s a great way to introduce customers across the country to the brand.

Margaux’s New York flagship is now open and is located at 387 Bleecker St., NY.
