Markwins Beauty Brands taps Michael Shaw as Chief Operating Officer

Michael Shaw has been named the new COO for Markwins Beauty Brands which includes a portfolio of top drugstore brands such as Wet n Wild, Bonnie Bell and Lip Smacker.
Shaw will lead global operations which includes finance, planning, IT and information, and manufacturing.
Shaw brings over 25 years of experience to the COO role. Most recently he was the CEO and solution delivery lead Aptis Consulting Group. He has worked as a VP and at the C-level for a number of years across multiple industries bridging telecom, manufacturing, energy, banking, public accounting, and consulting.
His portfolio of previous clients includes Custom Building Products and Capgemini Ernst & Young.
Shaw explained his ops focus at Markwins saying, “Through a disciplined approach and continued focus on exceeding our customers’ needs, Markwins will set the pace on quality of service and product innovation by which others are measured."
Markwins was started over 30 years ago in the City of Industry, CA by CEO Eric Chen. It is the largest privately owned cosmetics company in the US.
In addition to owning major drugstore brands, Markwins operates globally through a range of internal brands and licensed brands that are sold across department, specialty and drugstore channels. Its brand portfolio also includes Physicians Formula, The Color Workshop, The Color Institute and Black Radiance.
