The American eyewear group has signed a "global licensing agreement for the development, production and distribution of the Marni Eyewear collections, under the supervision of Creative Director Consuelo Castiglioni" with the Italian label, the two companies stated in a press release.

It is a long-term agreement, commencing with the men's and women's prescription and sunglasses collections for Spring/Summer 2016. The eyewear will be available at Marni stores, as well as through a selection of opticians and fashion stores worldwide.

Marni explained that its objective is to expand the collections and strengthen the accessories range, thus consolidating its brand identity.
