Mobile shopping app Revel heads to Apple's App Store

Published
Nov 21, 2016

Revel, a curated mobile shopping experience from David La Melza, launched this month. The new app showcases a selection of men’s fashion in an engaging, storytelling format.

The Revel mobile shopping app

Shoppers on Revel learn about new brands through videos and editorial stories created by emerging brands and creators. The app aims to educate users on brands to enhance the shopping experience, and it offers shopable editorals called capsules, or behind-the-scenes documentaries on a brand’s story. A few of the first brands to be featured on Revel include I Love Ugly, Solé Bicycles, Delikt, Crap Eyewear and The CXX.

“Our vision is simple - create a new shopping experience built on storytelling, empowering everyone to build greater purpose in their lives through style and culture,” said founder David La Melza. “Revel is a home for the brands, the ideas, and the people leading culture.”

La Melza was inspired to create Revel after feeling that e-commerce lacked personality. His goal is to create an experience where both the user and the brands can form true connections.

““I yearned to feel emotionally connected when shopping, especially discovering,” La Melza said. “I wanted to make educated decisions that aligned with my personal values and beliefs.”

Revel provides brands with a mobile distribution channel on a commission based pricing system. Through Revel, brands receive direct-to-consumer margins with no upfront fees and increased brand awareness and customer loyalty.

La Melza added, “Through radical transparency, we hope to build bridges and forge authentic relationships between brands and customers; because, when it comes down to it, it’s about more than just products and price tags. It’s about the people behind the process, the substance between the seams, and everyone across the world who is on a personal journey to create their own story.”

Revel is available on the Apple iOS App Store.
