Montreal's Festival Mode & Design releases 2016 program

Montreal’s Festival Mode & Design (FMD) officially announced their 2016 program this week.  
 
The week-long event which highlights fashion, music and all things creative in downtown Montreal will host a variety of shows, designs, conferences and more, from August 15 to the 20, at the Quartier des spectacles.

 
The FMD has a series of indoor and outdoor programs. Among its outdoor programming, FMD will set up a runway downtown, at Place des Festivals. The runway will welcome fashion shows from August 17 to the 20, from well-known brands like Guess/Marciano, Le Château de Montréal, Dynamite, La Vie en Rose, RW&Co., Antoine Laoun, Complexe Desjardins, Bestseller Men/Women, Alton Gray, Rockland and Ardène. There will equally be special presentations from Cabinet Ephémère, showcasing collections from Quebec designers, including Noémiah, Nisse, Poupoune de Luxe, KQK, Wallo and Elama, and musical acts from the likes of Dear Denizen, Debbie Tebbs, Archichic, Fonkyson, Paupière, Melt Montreal and more.
 
On a second stage, the M.A.D. Stage, Emerging designer shows, Styling fashion shows, DIY workshops, and live performances will also take place. Festival-goers can discover new brands like Eliza Faulkner, Mon préféré, Féline Dion, Marigold, and fashion shows entirely styled by leading industry figures, including the Trollsen Twins, and instagrammers ISHMAIL, Tristan Ginger and Isabella Forget.

Thirty pop-up boutiques and fashion trucks can also be found on site throughout the event.
 
A total of 80 Montreal designers, 21 fashion shows from emerging designers, 16 shows with well-known brands, 15 international speakers, 30 pop-up shops and 75 models will be showcased.
 
Last month FMD equally announced their conference segment programming.
 
Festival Mode & Design is an annual celebration of creativity in downtown Montréal. It is created, produced and directed by Groupe Sensation Mode.
