Moschino to show co-ed resort in Los Angeles

Published

Moschino is on the move again with Jeremy Scott. The Milan house is to stage its upcoming resort collection – including both men and women – in Los Angeles next month.

The show, scheduled for June 8, will mark the third time that Scott, who has been the house’s creative director since 2011, has taken Moschino to the City of Angels.

The show underlines “once again the strong bond that the brand has with the Californian city,” the house said in a release.

Like his previous shows in LA, this collection will include both men’s and women’s ideas and seasons. Specifically, the designer’s Spring/Summer 2019 Men’s and Resort 2019 Women’s collections for Moschino.

His previous Los Angeles show was inspired by a road-trip between LA and Las Vegas and featured party gals in patchwork denim, peek-a-boo swimsuits or studded appaloosa-print coats; and rhinestone cowboys in flame-flecked suits, butch biker looks and faux snakeskin bombers. While his LA debut in June 2016 was inspired by a conspiracy theory that Marilyn Monroe was murdered because she was going to reveal the existence of aliens, information given to her by then-lover JFK. It was staged inside L.A. Live, where fans could even purchase tickets, and attracted celeb’ friends Katy Perry, Caitlyn Jenner and Cindy Crawford.

Though born in Missouri, Scott adopted LA as his home 15 years ago. No news yet on the location of Scott’s next fantasy show in LA. But it is due to start at 7.30PM. Expect some fireworks.
