Net-a-Porter and Mr Porter add to luxury watches offer

With the watches sector in general in recovery mode and luxury watches enjoying a particular sales uptick, luxury fashion retailers are racing to maximise the opportunity and YNAP’s highest-end e-tail brands are prominent among them.

Net-a-Porter and Mr Porter have already tapped into the ultra-luxury trend with their luxe watch offer and now they’re extending the selection in a deal with Cartier. Meanwhile Mr Porter is also set to launch Vacheron Constantin on the site next week.

The e-tailers said that the Cartier move follows the success of pop-ups for the brand and the relaunch of the Panthère watches on Net-a-Porter and the Santos watches on Mr Porter.

Both sites will now offer a permanent selection of Cartier watches with Net-a-Porter doing so through its Fine Jewelry & Watch Suite and Mr Porter via its Luxury Watch Guide.

The women’s selection has just launched and includes the Panthère, Tank, Ballon Bleu and Baignoire collections while there are five collections available on Mr Porter - Tank, Ballon Bleu, Calibre de Cartier, Drive de Cartier and Santos.

Meanwhile, on September 5, Mr Porter is also set to launch the Vacheron Constantin brand on the site with a curated selection of 18 timepieces, including the new Fiftysix collection, which gets its global launch at the same time.
