New York & Co latest trends
Feb 1 (Reuters) - Women's apparel retailer New York & Co (NWY.N) promoted President Gregory Scott as its chief executive, effective Feb. 12.

Scott, who served as the CEO of peer Bebe Stores (BEBE.O) from February 2004 to January 2009, will replace Richard Crystal.

Grace Nichols, who has served as a director since March 2008, will assume the role of non-executive chair of the board.

In April 2010, New York & Co said CEO Crystal, 65, would retire from the company and its board in 2011.

Shares of the company, which have shed nearly 9 percent since Crystal announced his retirement, closed at $5.59 on Monday on the New York Stock Exchange.
