New hires at Mango for accessories and strategy

Published

The Catalan retailer has added two new hires this summer to its executive team. Aurora Rotes joined Mango in early September, a few weeks after Luis Maseres, who was hired in July.

Mango fall-winter 2014-15.

Aurora Rotes has been appointed head of strategy. For the past eight years, she has worked for the consulting firm McKinsey & Company. Now, she will be tasked with developing Mango’s overall strategy, which will depend on her ability to analyze the market and the brand’s business model in order to improve its tactics.

Since becoming executive director of Mango’s accessories division in July, Luis Maseres will focus more on the brand and its products. While he spent a few months as brand manager for footwear and accessories at C&A in Düsseldorf, he previously spent fourteen years at Mango primary competitor: Inditex.

Maseres has worked successively as product manager for footwear at Zara, then head of the same division for Massimo Dutti, and finally CEO of one of Inditex’s brands, Uterque, for two years.
