On Wednesday, a new multi-platform service that makes video content discoverable and purchasable – Ever – launched. Ever allows consumers to instantly discover people, places and purchase products inside videos without interruption.

Ever makes everything inside videos or TV discoverable and instantly purchasable - Ever

The launch of Ever includes three new products: The Ever App, Ever Extension and Ever API.

The App allows users to scan images and frames seen on TV and receive information about the items straight on their phone and instantly purchase items. Ever Extension offers a single screen experience where users can hover their mouse over online live streams for more product information, while Ever API gives users product information when watching videos on a smartphone app.

“Ever has solved the video discovery problem that has existed in the industry for the past two decades,” says Ever CEO Chander Chawla, in a news statement. “Scores of attempts have been made by startups and big companies to make videos discoverable and purchasable. All of them have failed because either they were interrupting the entertainment experience or pushing consumers to ad content. Ever works in real-time – empowering the viewer to simply press a button to discover people, places, fashion or other items in any frame of video – without interruption.”

Ever is a privately held company based in Palo Alto, CA.
