The new vice president and general manager of Nike for the Western European region knows this geographical division well. Before taking the position of vice president and general manager of the segment "Global Football", Bert Hoyt, 56, was vice president International Trade in the Europe Middle East Africa region. He now takes over from Brent Scrimshaw who is retiring after 18 years at Nike. Bert Hoyt will report to Gary DeStefano, President of Global Operations.

This means some changes within the operational management of the American giant. Roland Wolfram, vice president of global sales, will thus take over the football branch, replacing Bert Hoyt. And Tom Peddie, who has been with the house for 21 years, will substitute Roland Wolfram. He was previously vice president of textile sales in North America. This function will now be the responsibility of Ann Herbert who, after 16 years at Nike, had been in charge of the management of global sales for football, baseball and track and field.
