Oak introduces new plus size range

Oak this month launched a new plus size collection, making it the latest brand to enter the plus size fashion market.

 
The plus size collection is comprised of 14 styles including leather jackets, slouchy ripped jeans, maxi dresses, sweatshirts and hoodies, and sleeveless t-shirts. According to the brand, the plus size section will be updated often.
 
The new collection is unlike most plus size collections. The common plus size collection ranges from 1X to 3X and beyond, but the Oak collection begins at size XS and goes up to an XL. Oak said in a blog post that it has “always tried to showcase more inclusive sizing and styling in our collection and in our stores.”

The brand added that it believes each garment will fit everyone differently and so customers shouldn't think too much about sizing.
 
Creative Director Louis Terline said to Racked, “For us sizing is just another element of inclusion, for most of our styles we extend our sizes in all directions and have increased the size run. I have a strong background in plus size fashion and has been working on the best way to launch the project for a while.”
 
The Oak plus size collection is available on the brand’s website and prices range from $72 to $550.
