Oliver Peoples eyewear collaborates with famed New York restaurant Sant Ambroeus

Oliver Peoples, founded by L.A. eyewear giant Larry Leight, has created collections with varied fashion houses, textile manufacturers (Hosoo), a perfumer (Byredo)– even with another eyewear designer (Alain Mikli). But a capsule collection with a well known New York Italian restaurant is definitely a first – for any accessories brand. But Oliver Peoples has always done things its own way.

Sant Ambroeus was founded in Milan in 1936, opened on the Upper East Side of Manhattan on Madison Avenue in 1992, and how has locations in Soho, the West Village, midtown and Palm Beach, Florida. Oliver Peoples has debuted past collections in New York at their favorite restaurant – but this is a real eyewear collab, not a party.

The limited edition of Oliver Peoples x Sant Ambroeus features OP's iconic M-4 in two new colors inspired by the Italian restaurant's aesthetic. One pair has blue lenses with rose gold frames, the other coral lenses with yellow gold frames. They were created with Oliver Peoples logo lens technology – with a Sant Ambroeus logo only visible as a discreet signature.
They’ll be sold exclusively at Oliver Peoples New York locations at the end of September, and retail for $490.00. An opening party was held at the Soho location on Tuesday night in New York, with the creative directors of each company, and regular customers of both.
