Olivier Rousteing relaunches Balmain accessories

Balmain is set to revive its accessories collection, including leathergoods and shoes, under the creative direction of Olivier Rousteing. This new generation of accessories will be officially unveiled on January 21, during the label's autumn/winter 17/18 menswear collection and pre-fall women's showcase.

With just days to go before the Paris menswear shows, Balmain has announced the return of the collection that takes in men's and women's pieces plus a new shoe range, among other items.

The new collection comprises three product families channelling three different sources of inspiration: the fashion house's history and its archives, the techniques and expertise of the Balmain craftspeople, and the signature style Olivier Rousteing has brought to the label as its creative director.

Called "Renaissance," "Balmain Le 44" and "Domaine," the three lines make the most of the label's creativity and expertise. Each line also has its own golden icon, in the form of a gold medallion, gold thread and a gold charm.

The label has released a teaser video offering a glimpse of the upcoming collection. Directed by Pascal Dangin, the film sees Olivier Rousteing presenting
the details of each line against a backdrop of modernity and music -- both now intrinsically linked with the label.
