Nov 1, 2016
Luxury menswear brand Ovadia & Sons is opening its first pop-up retail store. The store will open on November 4th and remain open until February following the brand’s Fall/Winter runway show. The 2,700-square-foot store will be located at 63 Greene in SoHo, New York City. This is the brand’s first foray into stand-alone stores.
Ovadia & Sons is a menswear brand designed by brother duo Ariel and Shimon Ovadia. The brand launched in 2010, and now shows at New York Fashion Week: Men's and is carried at Barneys, Mr. Porter, Neiman Marcus, Saks, and Nordstrom, among others. The brand offers menswear pieces at a mid-price point, with pants retailing from $150-800, t-shirts selling from $95-300, and outerwear ranging from $300-1,600.
The brand will offer exclusive products in this pop-up store. Since the store will remain open through the label’s showing at New York Fashion Week: Men’s, the brothers will use this shop to sell their new collection right off the runway.
This move comes as an effort to understand Ovadia & Sons consumer more thoroughly. The brand currently relies on selling through their website and through wholesale. The designers told the press that the pop-up would be an opportunity to understand their customers better and strengthen customer loyalty.
The brand hopes to open their own flagship store at some point in the future.
