Oysho, the lingerie, sportswear and homeware brand from Inditex Group, underscores its international ambitions with the opening of an online store on SSG, South Korea’s largest online platform, it announced in a press release this week.

The brand will enter the new online market via SSG on 23 October. Oysho also launched its website Oysho.com in South Korea on 7 September, with the initiatives representing an important step in the brand’s development in the country. The online launch complements the brand’s physical presence in South Korea, where it has three stores.

Oysho said this new online format will help customers reach the brand more easily and introduce new shoppers to the brand via South Korea’s largest e-commerce platform.

SSG will feature Oysho products across sleepwear, lingerie, gym wear, beachwear, footwear and accessories.
With the launch, the Inditex brand selling underwear and homewares continues to increase its market share and
expand its e-commerce business, which has a presence in 33 countries.

In other news, Fashion Retail, the Inditex subsidiary operating the group’s online business in Europe, reached a turnover of 1.23 billion euros in the financial year ended 31 January 2017. This is a 35.46% increase year-on-year.

The company, which increased its headcount from 340 employees to 417, reported a net profit of 57.3 million euros, up 15% on the previous year.
