Paris Fashion Week: the trade fairs of the weekend

Published
Mar 5, 2015

For this March 2015 season dedicated to the fall-winter 2015/16 collections, there are nine trade fairs on the programme. Dedicated to ready-to-wear and high-end and luxury accessories, they are taking place from 5 to 9 March. We give you a short synopsis of the options.

Capsule at Tapis Rouge in September 2014 - Capsule.

For its third consecutive season, Capsule takes place at Tapis Rouge, in the 10th arrondissement. The American trade fair presents one of its complete editions, with nearly 130 brands, almost a record. Some of the new international names to expect include New York ready-to-wear brand Samantha Pleet, Korean Godaliah, and artisanal eyewear by Dane Han Kjobenhavn.

Capsule at Tapis Rouge, 6 to 8 March,
67, rue du Faubourg Saint-Martin 75010 Paris.

Nearby and offering a similar "edgy" segment, Woman offers 75 brands this time around. Names include Pantheone, Karine Lecchi, Beaufille, Methodology Wears, Cecilia Ma...

Woman, 6 to 8 March,
25, rue Yves Toudic 75010 Paris.

One of the leading trade fairs of fashion week, Tranoï once again presents 550 brands divided among its three exhibition sites: around 330 at the Carrousel du Louvre, 160 at the Palais de la Bourse and some fifty at the Espace Montaigne. This edition will see a lot of new entries, including high-end brands like 2ndDay, Madame Aime, Epice, Spread, Coohem, Steven Alan and Serefina.

Tranoï, 6 to 9 March,
Palais de la Bourse - 2, Place de la Bourse - 75002 Paris
Carrousel du Louvre - 99, rue de Rivoli - 75001 Paris
Montaigne - 7, rond-point des Champs Elysées - 75008 Paris

As usual, Première Classe, Paris sur Mode and the latest Don't Believe The Hype are taking place at the Jardin des Tuileries. The Première Classe accessories offer will once again be the most considerable, with 381 brands announced, including 32% jewellery, 21% shoes, 25% leather goods, 8% hats and as many scarves...

For ready-too-wear, Paris sur Mode presents 90 exhibitors, including five new names (Valentine Gauthier, 2wins, TrueTradition, Ronalda Fraga and Leon Huang). And finally, Don't Believe the Hype offers 17 brands, with new names like Tu Es Mon Trésor, Heimstone, Ma Demoiselle Pierre and Nathalie Dumeix.

Première Classe, Paris sur Mode, Don't Believe The Hype,
from 6 to 9 March, Terrasse des Feuillants, Jardin des Tuileries 75001 Paris.

Accessories buyers will return to the Pavillon Cambon in the Jardin des Tuileries to check out The Box, where a little less than a hundred brands are once again present. Lots of regular exhibitors but also a fair amount of newcomers, one third to be exact, such as Wendee Ou, Laro, Wonderology and Jitni.

The Box au Pavillon Cambon, from 6 to 9 March,
46, rue Cambon 75001 Paris.

Memy Mode takes place at the Hôtel Westin for the second time. Presented more as a showroom than a trade fair, it includes twenty brands this time, with new names like Ludovica Amati, Dione, Masha and Kate and Murmur.
Take note: this trade fair starts a day earlier than the others.

Memy Mode, 5 to 8 March,
The Westin Paris-Vendôme, 3 rue de Castiglione 75001 Paris

The 23rd edition for Vendôme Luxury, the showstopper for luxury and evening wear. But not just that. Divided into two spaces around the Place Vendôme, the Hôtel d'Evreux and Le Meurice, the forty or so brands are showing evening wear, ready-to-wear, accessories and lingerie. Some of the labels include Elise Anderegg, Atelier d'Exception, ML Monique Lhuillier, Guishem and Dorian Ho.

Vendôme Luxury, from 6 to 9 March,
Hôtel d'Evreux, 19 Place Vendôme 75001 Paris
Le Meurice, 6 rue de Castiglione 75001 Paris.

Fugahum, one of the brands presented by Tokyo Eye at ZipZone - Fugahum.

At the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, visitors will once again find ZipZone, where some thirty brands are on the programme. Newcomers include Helen Van Rees and Marius Janusauskas, but also the new Tokyo Eye space, dedicated to promoting Japanese design.

ZipZone, from 6 to 8 March,
