Celebrating the 10th anniversary of his eponymous label, the French designer "said it with flowers" at the Fondation Mona Bismarck Monday night in Paris. The Alexis Mabille show closed a hectic day that included presentations by Christian Dior, Schiaparelli and Giambattista Valli.

Reknowned for his forward-looking brand of fashion that is equal parts chic and fun-loving, Alexis Mabille presented an über feminine flower-strewn collection for Spring 2015.

Large flower motifs and Mabille's playful trademark bows took on extreme proportions on full-skirted red-carpet gowns and sheath dresses while petal-like fabric folds and draping gave silhouettes definition.

The runway was awash with luscious hues of ultra violet, blue, red and fuschia, thus demonstrating the skills the Lyon-born designer honed while working for the houses of master colorists -- Christian Dior and Yves Saint Laurent, before establishing his label in 2005.

An official member of the Fédération française de la Couture, the house has become notorious for light, fluid and precision tailoring, a heritage the designer acquired through his training at the Chambre syndicale de la couture parisienne.
