Paris jewellery heist nets multi-million-euro haul

PARIS, Oct 7, 2007 (AFP) - Armed robbers got away with around ten million of euros (14 million dollars) worth of merchandise in a raid on a luxury jewellers just off the Champs Elysees in Paris Saturday, October 6th, said a police source.

At least three or four armed and hooded robbers entered the up-market jewellers and took jewels and possibly watches after overpowering the staff, said the source.
The staff were left in a state of shock but physically unharmed.
