Parisian menswear label Daniel Hechter celebrates its 55th year in business with its first launch in the US market, exclusively at Macy’s.

Macy’s will carry the brand exclusively on its website and at 11 stores in New York City, San Francisco, Chicago, Miami, Atlanta and Southern California.

The Daniel Hechter fall 2017 collection will launch exclusively at Macy's on October 1

Founded in 1962, Daniel Hechter is considered to be the inventor of modern ready-to-wear. The label is currently licensed to Chinese conglomerate Shanghai Shenda America LLC, has over 2,500 global points of sale, and is led by former Lanvin artistic director Christophe Blondin Péchabrier.

Daniel Hechter formally introduced itself to the US market during New York Fashion Week: Men's this month. The label presented 12 Parisian-inspired sportswear looks for New York Men's Day at Dune Studios.

"As the Daniel Hechter brand continues to expand we are particularly excited to enter the US market with a very strong offering for the fall season,” said Blondin Péchabrier. “Daniel Hechter Paris has always been focused on bringing quality and creativity to the modern man and this collection will be no different."

The fall 2017 collection that is launching in the US on October 1, 2017 is designed specifically for the North American customer. The casual collection is comprised of knitwear, shirts, blazers, trousers and outerwear that channel a European aesthetic.

Though Daniel Hechter will be available exclusively at Macy’s for fall 2017, the Parisian-influenced sportswear brand will be sold to other retailers for spring 2018.
