Perry Ellis International announced Monday that it has entered into a license agreement with Tiendas por Departamento Ripley S.A. in Peru for the Perry Ellis skate and surf apparel brand, Gotcha. Through the license, Gotcha will be able to expand beyond Peru—where it is available at Ripley’s—to Chile and Colombia.

Perry Ellis International Chairman & Chief Executive Officer George Feldenkreis remarked, "Our Company is pleased to expand our relationship with Ripley and maximize the potential of the Gotcha brand apparel in Peru and extend it to Chile and Colombia. Ripley has been a terrific retail partner for Gotcha through the years. Engaging Ripley now as one of our licensees will enhance our global reach across product categories and geographies to drive further growth and profitability."

Gotcha is a lifestyle brand influenced by the freestyling, fashion and fun of surfing that also encompasses the snow and skate communities. The brand has quickly established itself in the extreme lifestyle sector. Gotcha is currently available at 27 Ripley’s stores in Peru.

Perry Ellis also owns a plethora of internationally recognized brands including its namesake line, Original Penguin, Rafaella and Farah to name a few, and it licenses trademarks from third parties including Nike for swimwear and Callaway, PGA TOUR, and Jack Nicklaus for golf apparel.
