Pitti names guest designers for June edition

Taking over from Kenzo and Maison Kitsuné at the January edition of the show, Kolor and Damir Doma have been named as guest designers for the next edition of Pitti Immagine. Parisian-based Damir Doma will be present at Pitti W and Japanese brand Kolor at Pitti Uomo at the Florence-based show in June. “Kolor and Damir Doma represent two very different histories and cultures," said Lapo Cianchi, Pitti Immagine’s communication and event director. “But in our opinion, they share the same determination for developing their brands and building a strong business experience based on a very precise, personal and creative inspiration that does not follow mainstream fashion trends.”

Junichi Abe, the Japanese designer behind Kolor has presented his collection at Paris men’s fashion week since 2005. Damir Doma also shows on the Paris runway and has two lines to his name - one for men and one for women – as well a Paris flagship store and a recently-inaugurated e-store. The designer will present his women’s resort collection 2014 at the Florence fashion event and Kolor will be showcasing its men’s spring-summer 2014 collection
