RYU launches apparel partnership with WeWork

Canadian athleisure brand RYU Apparel (Respect Your Universe) is partnering with WeWork for the company’s new social wellness club, Rise by We.

 
Through the partnership, RYU will clothe staff, trainers and instructors at Rise by We and will house a retail space at the first Rise by We location located at 85 Broad Street in New York City.
 
The retail space will include brand products and apparel that members can shop.

"Our companies align on many levels and we are excited to be a part of their growth. WeWork and its wellness expansion are perfectly aligned with RYU and we are excited to be part of such a disruptive business model, operating all over the world."
 
“Partnering with brands like RYU helps us create spaces that inspire genuine social connection and allows our members to choose their own path to wellness," added Avi Yehiel, WeWork Head of Wellness.
 
The new partnership will be great exposure for RYU across the border. The company will open its first retail location in the US in the first quarter of 2018 in Williamsburg, in Brooklyn, New York. The brand has also announced plans to open a store on the West Coast in Venice.
 
The athletic brand opened its first flagship store in Vancouver in 2015, and has been on a steady growth path since the company first launched. In its last reported quarter, revenue was $641,231, up 113 percent compared to the same period in 2016.
