Ryan Bonifacino departs Alex and Ani

Alex and Ani, the eco-conscious jewelry and accessories brand, announced Friday that the Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President of Digital, Ryan Bonifacino, will depart the company to focus on his MBA studies.

"Alex and Ani's rapid growth – from a $20 million business in 2011 to a $350 million business this year – has in no small part been based on our ongoing digital commitment, and Ryan has been an important part of that," said Harlan Kent, president of Alex and Ani. "Digital platforms allow our customers to connect with us and each other wherever they are, and we're already seeing the result of our $7 million investment in these strategies over the last two years. We're all happy for Ryan and are excited to see his next endeavor."
 
Bonifacino joined the company in 2010 and currently oversees digital marketing, online advertising, social media and e-commerce. He will advise the company through the end of 2015 and then pursue his MBA studies.

Alex and Ani is based in the Greater Providence, Rhode Island area and currently has retail stores in addition to retail partners worldwide. The company launched its mobile app on October 1, which was featured in Apple’s app store having secured 50,000 downloads in two weeks.
