Santa Fe, NM is hosting the 6th annual Santa Fe Fashion Week next month and will feature runway shows from three Project Runway alumni.

Melissa Fleis - Santa Fe Fashion Week

The three day Santa Fe Fashion Week (SFFW) is being billed as a celebration of fashion, food, drinks and networking. It kicks off on June 7 with a VIP art gallery reception at night. It continues for three more days with runway shows held at the Drury Plaza Hotel in Santa Fe.

Project Runway Season 11 alumnus Richard Hallmarq will return to Santa Fe for the fourth time to show his latest collection. Ari South from Project Runway Season 8 will also show her women's line that is designed and manufactured in Hawaii.

New to SFFW is Project Runway Season 10 finalist Melissa Fleis.

Fleis currently is based in Los Angeles where she designs and manufacturers her line of architecturally inspired wardrobe staples.

She received her masters from San Francisco's Academy of Art University and studied under Alexander McQueen advisor Simon Ungless. In addition to Season 10, she also competed on Project Runway All Stars.

"It's good to show your work and meet new people and be in an artistic community like Santa Fe that's full of entrepreneurs and artists," Fleis commented on showing in Santa Fe.

She plans to showcase her new work there next month.

Stephen Cuomo, Executive Producer of Santa Fe Fashion Week said, "The 2017 Santa Fe Fashion Week will be the biggest yet and we are looking forward to making our mark with our first summer show in Santa Fe."

SFFW takes place June 8-10 at the new Drury Plaza Hotel in Santa Fe. Tickets are now available.
