Say Wearables launches

Published
Aug 18, 2016

Say Wearables has launched the first wearable platform for social media with plans to launch a necklace by October of this year.

Uri Keren, CMO and co-founder of Say Wearables explains: "We all wear jewelry, clothes and accessories that convey, 'This is me!' and reflect how we want the world to perceive us. With Say, we go further by allowing people to create a digital message that they can actually wear. And, through the Say social network, people can follow, comment on what others are saying, and even exchange wearable sayings."

Say showcases an outward facing color display embedded in fashion focused accessories. Say can be worn hanging as a pendant or pinned as a dynamic fashion accessory. Say connects via Bluetooth to the Say app.

The social media component is engaged when users import videos through the app and upload them to their wearable. Brands, celebrities and influencers create their own channels and can curate content they can then wear.

"The Snapchat and Instagram generation has largely been ignored by wearables manufacturers. Say's social wearables enable the creativity and interactions which characterize the digital world of Generation Y to become a part of their physical landscape, to make wearables relevant," says Keren.

Say has been backed by angel investors from Google, Samsung and Facebook. A Say Necklace is in development and set to launch October 2016.
