Sevilla-based menswear brand is in the process of expanding in Spain and abroad, and has recently announced the launch of its fifth European store in Amsterdam.

The new location joins recent openings in Paris, London, Lisbon and Porto, and is located at 60-62 Leidsestraat, one of the city’s busiest pedestrianised streets.

The space spreads over 1,076 sq ft across two levels. The ground floor houses the brand’s casualwear collections, while the first floor offers customers the ultimate tailoring experience with a dedicated bespoke service.

Scalpers is also gearing up for a massive expansion in France, where it’s set to open its second store on 1 March in Paris’ Saint-Germain-des-Prés neighbourhood. The Spanish brand’s presence in the country will be increased further when it launches in the first half of the year at several branches of upmarket department store Galeries Lafayette, including the chain’s flagship store on Boulevard Haussmann in Paris, Lyon and Biarritz.

"The company has developed several formats to adapt its universe to all types of retail spaces, from a small concept of 50-60 square meters to 200. I believe that we could potentially open up to thirty store and concessions in France in the next five years,” commented Marc Le Bail, former Hackett London country manager and current Scalpers director of franchise development.

Founded in 2007 by entrepreneurs Rafael Medina, Alberto Artacho and Borja Vázquez, Scalpers has 24 stores and 55 concessions at El Corte Ingles in Spain, as well as 3 outlets and 3 franchised stores.
