School of the Art Institute of Chicago launches $50 million fundraising campaign

The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) launched its first large-scale fundraising campaign on May 6 during SAIC’s 150th Anniversary Gala.

The campaign, Beautiful/Work: The Campaign for the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, aims to increase financial aid and scholarships for students, as well as faculty resources, by raising $50 million over the next two years.
 
President-Designate Elissa Tenny said of the campaign: "Beautiful/Work: The Campaign for the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, is a groundbreaking investment in our talented and brilliant students and dedicated and boundary-pushing faculty. For it is our students and faculty that shape our cultural life now and for decades to come."

Founded in 1866 in Chicago, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago has been a leader in arts education.  SAIC offers nationally accredited undergraduate, graduate, and post-baccalaureate programs to more than 3,500 students from around the globe.
