Shreve & Co. this week opened the doors to a new, permanent flagship store on 150 Post Street.
The 15,000-square-foot store, which is the luxury retailer’s first permanent location in 110 years, is two full floors of display space with in-store boutiques, private viewing suites for personalized consultations and an entertainment room. Shreve & Co. offers its signature jewelry collection at the new store, as well as in-store boutiques for Patek Philippe, Rolex, IWC, Mikimoto and Harry Kotlar, which is the first US boutique for the jewelry house.
The luxury retailer partnered with Lochte Architectural Group to design the store, which features a free-floated, elongated semi-spiral staircase, and a bespoke waterfall chandelier of lights and crystals by Yellow Goat.
"At Shreve's we pride ourselves on our relationships with our customers, and we designed this new flagship store to provide them with the very best modern luxury shopping experience possible. We not only want the store to be beautiful and an appropriate showcase for our jewelry, we wanted it to offer modern amenities, an incredibly approachable environment and private space for one on one service," said Lane Schiffman, co-owner of Shreve & Co.
"In addition, the new store has allowed us to bring all services on premise, from a dedicated watchmaker to an estate jewelry appraiser and consultant."
George Coates Shreve and his nephew Samuel S. Shreve founded Shreve Jewelers in 1852, and the retailer is San Francisco’s oldest and most prestigious jeweler.
The Schiffman family has owned the retailer since 1992 alongside the Suna family, which operates Shreve & Co. In addition to the Post Street store, Shreve & Co. operates locations in Palo Alto, CA and Portland, OR.
