Shu Uemura: metallic shades and natural lips for Spring 2015 makeup

The famous Japanese beauty brand is playing the metallic card ahead of the Spring-Summer 2015 season, presenting a collection that places particular emphasis on the eyes.

Just when we thought the metallic makeup trend was behind us, the cosmetics expert Shu Uemura proves otherwise with its Metallic Bouquet collection.

The gaze is clearly in the spotlight, decked out in metallic shades and patterns inspired by fireworks. The Japanese brand is offering its Metallic Precision long-wearing waterproof eyeliner in ten shimmery shades, including gold, silver, and reflective tones ranging from black to pink and green.

Such a strong emphasis on the gaze calls for softer lips, so the new Shu Uemura line also includes five natural colors of the Rouge Unlimited lipstick: three classic shades (pink, orange-pink and mauve) and two shimmery ones.

The Metallic Bouquet collection arrives in stores from February 19. Each eyeliner costs €29 (around $36) and each lipstick is available for €30 (around $37).
