Snapbac launches wearable athletic therapy line

Published

New York-based startup Snapbac has introduced a new line of fashion-forward athletic wearables designed to help professional and amateur athletes rehabilitate injuries while maximizing performance.

Snapbac’s high-performance wearable garments are equipped with hot and cold therapy pods in the prime injury locations on the body. The garments are designed to help athletes experience a smoother process when restoring their body after injury but with a stylish look and feel.

Kevin Bello, Co-Founder and COO of Snapbac stated “Professional athletes have long had access to recovery systems that allow them to elevate their performance, but they aren’t the only people putting their bodies through rigorous training that demands for solid recovery. Our goal is to democratize the recovery system by creating a product line that is affordable and accessible so that committed athletes, who constantly raise the bar on their physical limits, are able to take their training a step further by optimizing their rest-time while utilizing our products that consider their performance, recovery and lifestyle needs.”

This project was launched in partnership with Mother New York, a London-based creative agency whose clients include Stella Artois and Target.

Snapbac’s research on their new line of products found that athletes who wore the garments while rehabilitating an injury found an increase of peak power of up to 9%. To demonstrate product performance, Snapbac has tapped the Director of Player Performance for the Brooklyn Nets for a pop-up demonstration on November 10th at the brand's Manhattan pop-up shop.

The pop-up shop, located at 188 Lafayette St in Manhattan, was open November 4 just in advance of the NY Marathon held on Sunday, and will run until Nov. 20. Products will be available for customers on Snapbac.com.
