Special edition of Fashion Law bootcamp hits West Coast
Jun 30, 2016
With the field of fashion law growing, the Fashion Law Institute is offering a West Coast specific bootcamp for lawyers and law students outside of the regular curriculum of law school.
The Fashion Law Institute is in its 6th year of offering an intensive summer bootcamp experience. Based out of NY's Fordham University, this year's West Coast edition will focus California attorneys on Apple and Levi's.
The Institute announced, "The program is an excellent way for fashion industry professionals to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the legal issues that they deal with on a regular basis, or for practicing lawyers to expand their current practice or even jump start a change in career."
Taking place July 27-29, the West Coast special edition bootcamp will take an in depth look at fashion law and technology, including intellectual property, licensing, privacy, supply chain, and social media issues.
Participants will start in San Francisco at Levi's headquarters. The program will finish up in Cupertino at Apple's headquarters.
Professor Susan Scafidi, Founder and Academic Director of the Institute, will lead the program in partnership with Levi's and Apple attorneys.
The program is open to lawyers, law students, and fashion professionals and students interested in broadening their knowledge of the law and business of fashion.
