Star Wars parade takes over the Galeries Lafayette holiday pop-up

Published
Nov 6, 2015

The Force was awakened at Galeries Lafayette on Wednesday. The French department store teamed up with Disney to open a 4,000-square-foot shop-in-shop that opened following a “Star Wars”-themed Christmas show.

The Galeries Lafayette Christmas 2015 season is entirely dedicated to the 7th installment in the Star Wars franchise - AFP / François Guillot

The show was a choreographed parade of Storm Troopers, Jedis and Imperial Red Guards from the film series behind the Paris Opera. Galeries Lafayette and Disney marked their partnership with the collaboration show and pop up.

The holiday pop-up carries a capsule collection of clothing designed in collaboration with students from the Institut Français de la Mode, as well as toys, shoes and a display of Storm Trooper helmets that were specially designed by various artists. The display will remain until January 4.

From December 5, the windows of the Lafayette Homme will be dedicated to the upcoming Star Wars film, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” set to release on December 18.
