Stella & Dot launching apparel line

Stella & Dot, the crowdsourced San Francisco jewelry and accessories brand, announced it will launch an apparel line in April.

In addition to a new sunglasses line, the company plans to introduce tunics and sarong skirts that are embroidered and crocheted in line with the company’s bohemian aesthetic.

Chief creative officer and co-founder Blythe Harris notes this feels like the brand’s first steps in “becoming a lifestyle brand.”

Stella & Dot’s price points for jewelry and accessories currently range from $19 to $198. The brand will also be launching a fine jewelry line in the fall.

Stella & Dot relies on crowdsourced direct sales, tapping into the market of stay at home women and moms who aspire to be independent stylists and want to work from home. It encourages sales both in person and online to create entrepreneurship among its employees.
