Stella McCartney unveils new Adidas collection in LA

Published
Nov 3, 2016

This past Wednesday, Stella McCartney revealed her latest collaboration with Adidas. The collection was shown in Culver City, Los Angeles, to play off the city’s love of fitness and health.

The presentation shunned the typical runway presentation and relied on a series of training circuits to showcase how the garments perform. Adidas celebrity ambassadors Hannah Bronfman, Chelsey Korus, and Eniko Mihalik were showing off various athletic activities, including running, swimming, and cross-fit in the new collection. Guests were not seated around the performance area but instead invited to interact with the models to see the garments up close.

The collection included a wide selection of pieces, including running leggings and jackets to streetwear-inspired outwear (including a neoprene bomber and a retro track jacket) to swimwear pieces. The collection is designed using Adidas’s revolutionary boost technology.

This line, as well as McCartney’s past lines with Adidas, are made with 38% sustainable methods and materials and uses strictly ethical production. For example, all leggings in this new collection were created using recycled fabrics. McCartney also strives to use strictly low-impact dyes in her collections.

The full line will be available in Stella McCartney stores, at Net-a-Porter, and at Adidas locations in January.
