Supreme does debonair with Comme des Garçons Shirt collaboration

For their third collaboration, Supreme and Comme des Garçons Shirt have fashioned a daring cotton gabardine suit. After producing a highly coveted collaboration with Louis Vuitton, a new take on the Aquascutum raincoat and a suit with Brooks Brothers in 2014, once again Supreme has orbited away from planet streetwear with its new collection, created in collaboration with the design team from the Japanese label's second line.

The 2012 and 2015 collaborations focused on tee-shirts, sweatshirts and shirts with an urban aesthetic, while the new collection plays with geometric patterns and graphic details on two black-and-white suits, short-sleeved shirts, a wallet and a pair of Nike Air Force 1 Low shoes (previous designs toyed with shoes by Timberland and Vans). The range is completed by a long, glossy parka in black polyurethane, with the two labels' names inscribed on the back.

Also part of the collection are Supreme's signature hoody and tee-shirt in black or white, sporting the word 'Supreme' inverted mirror-like and overwritten with the Comme des Garçons Shirt logo. The silhouettes presented by the New York label blend street looks with a more formal style, though Supreme is careful to avoid convention.

The label has a highly targeted communication strategy and most of its collaborations feature streetwear brands such as Vans, Stone Island, The North Face or Lacoste, allowing Supreme to preserve its aura and reputation and heighten its allure.

The collection will be available on 13th April on the Supreme website and at the label's stores worldwide, as well as at Dover Street Market stores and at IT Beijing Market in Beijing.
