TFI New Labels ups grand prize winning

The Toronto Fashion Incubator (TFI) will once again host the TFI New Labels Fashion Show & Gala Fundraiser this year. For its 30-year anniversary, the non-profit organization is upping its first prize winning from $25,000 to $30,000.
 

The TFI New Labels event has been supporting new Canadian design talent for the last three decades. Last year, emerging Canadian designer Peggy Sue Deaven-Smiltnieks for Peggy Sue Collection walked away with the grand prize, earning her the title of “best new label”.
 
TFI is now accepting applications for the 2017 prize. Applications are open to Canadian womenswear fashion designers who have been in business 3 years or less. The deadline for this year’s submission is November 3 at 5 p.m.

TFI is an award-winning non-profit organization. It was established in 1987 as the world’s first fashion incubator.
