Tailored Brands COO Thorn promoted to President

Tailored Brands announced on Wednesday the promotion of Bruce Thorn to President and Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately.

 
Thorn, who joined the company as Executive Vice President and COO, oversees Tailored Brands’ supply chain, store operations, IT and omnichannel, planning and human resources. In his new role, he will continue to report to CEO Doug Ewert and serve on the executive committee.
 
Prior to joining Tailored Brands in 2015, Thorn worked at PetSmart, Gap, Cintas, Lesco and the US Army.

The appointment follows Tailored Brands’ soft fourth quarter performance that was impacted by its lacklustre tuxedo business at Macy’s. The company spent fiscal 2016 right-sizing its business, as full year sales fell and adjusted diluted earnings met expectations.
